The real concept of old age home is getting clear day by day to the people in our country which was  beyond their imagination even before  few decades. This has happened because of the radical changes that the people of our country has faced in many aspect but particularly in socio-economic scenario in the last twenty-five years. Abolishment of joint family system and introduction of small family arrangements has brought the urgent necessities of proper rehabilitation of the older generation people those were living under the shed of a joint family system in our society.

Here comes the ideas of Homes for the Sr. Citizens in other words the rehabilitation of the old people of the present society of our country. It will not be fare to blame the present generation people that they are not ready or keen to accept the responsibility to look after their aged family members but they are some how rather forced for the  changed circumstances for keeping the commitments towards their professional responsibility  as well as their livelihood. So the society has accepted as a whole that a separate arrangement of rehabilitation of Sr. Citizens has emerged through out the country. We also thought to participate in this noble cause and share the budding of the society and hence have ventured with our project Homage for the Sr. Citizens.

The aim of our project : "Homage to Senior Citizens " is to rekindle this light, and make sure that no one is deprived of this essential sparks of existence in ones old age.

On the sylvan surroundings where the gentle waters of the Hooghly lap in rhythm to the boatman's song, and under a huge open sky which witnesses the eddying and ebbing of silvery tides, a new sapling of life is being planted. One that'll spread out to provide care and attention to old people. This venture called " Homage " is taking shape in Konnagar, 24 kms from Kolkata, in West Bengal on the banks of the holy river Hooghly .
